The 25 Minute Practice: Lower Face & Cheeks

The 25 Minute Practice: Lower Face & Cheeks

600 kr

When addressing the lower face, it’s important to remember that many of the changes we see are both natural and a sign of life well-lived.
Nasolabial folds, for example, are normal — they appear when we laugh and smile, which we of course want to keep doing for a fulfilling life. They may also deepen from side sleeping, night after night — something 100% normal and nearly unavoidable.

What we don’t want, however, is unnecessary heaviness in the lower face caused by lymphatic stagnation, shortened muscles, or tension in the neck and chest that pulls facial tissues downward.

In this practice, we’ll explore how to release and relax the right muscles to soften lines, reduce puffiness, and bring back lift and lightness to the lower face.

This The Practice video is included in our signature membership: The Routine.

about

The lower face — including nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and early jowls — is highly influenced by muscle tone, fascia, posture, and circulation. Over time, tension in the cheeks, jaw, and neck can make lines appear deeper than they need to be. Stress, repetitive habits, and fluid build-up in these “low-pressure” areas also play their part.

By releasing tension in the neck, chest, and facial muscles, improving lymphatic flow, and restoring posture, we can create more balance, softness, and definition. These small adjustments can have a profound effect on how youthful and relaxed the lower face feels.

This sequence focuses mainly on relaxation of muscles and fascia release. If you experience fluid build-up or puffiness, we recommend complementing this session with The Practice: Lymphatic Drainage.

Key Techniques Include
  • Releasing cheek and jaw muscles to reduce downward pull
  • Relaxing the muscles around the mouth to soften nasolabial and marionette lines
  • Neck and chest release to support lift in the lower face
  • Gentle fascia release to restore natural support in the mid-face
  • Stimulating circulation and lymphatic flow to reduce heaviness and puffiness
  • Posture awareness combined with targeted massage for long-lasting results
